| Service is the heartbeat of every Lions club. Without meaningful service, our clubs would cease to be relevant and useful in our communities. As Global Service Team Coordinator for 2024-25, I look forward to sharing with all club members, information on new possible services for your club, helping where I can to make your club’s services more impactful and meeting the goals of service set out by our District Governor. Your club’s success in meaningful service has a ripple effect that can change lives! Reporting service is key to Lions Clubs International and is also very important to your club and your district. It is a record in history (similar to your club minutes) of the service your club members provided to their community, individuals and beyond. Our Multiple District GST has endorsed the Soles4Souls program and is hoping that clubs everywhere will consider doing a shoe drive to support this amazing program.
This service award is designed for clubs who create high-impact service projects within one of the global cause areas, including diabetes, childhood cancer, environment, hunger or vision. Overall objectives include:
- Encouraging creativity and recognizing high-impact service projects
- Rewarding clubs for high-caliber service activities within each of Lions Clubs International’s global causes
- Identifying potential service activities for adoption and dissemination to a broader audience
